An uncapped chimney is an open invitation to wildlife. Birds, squirrels, raccoons, and other animals climb or fall in to nest, and once they do you're left with blockages, odors, noise, and sometimes a trapped animal. Signs of an animal in your chimney

Remove, clean, and seal
We remove the animal or nest and clear the flue of the debris and blockage it leaves behind, then clean and deodorize to eliminate the smell nesting animals leave. A blocked flue is a real danger — combustion gases can't vent past a nest — so clearing it fully matters.
The essential last step is prevention: installing a properly fitted cap with screening that keeps wildlife out while still letting the flue draft. Without that, you'll be making the same call again next season.
