Chimney & Fireplace Services in Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburgh is a community where older homes and original masonry are part of the character, and that history shows up in the chimneys. Roosevelt Chimney Works works on exactly this kind of building stock — a remarkable mix of century-old brick rowhouses, Victorian-era homes, and mid-century construction spread across its many hillside neighborhoods — across Pittsburgh.

Because Pittsburgh is part of Allegheny County, its homes carry the particular mix of ages and styles that county is known for — a remarkable mix of century-old brick rowhouses, Victorian-era homes, and mid-century construction spread across its many hillside neighborhoods. From the historic homes of the East End to the dense masonry of the city's older neighborhoods, Pittsburgh's building stock is exactly the kind that rewards careful chimney work. That context shapes how we approach every chimney here: we read the home first, then recommend what it actually needs.

Chimneys in Pittsburgh face the same relentless cycle every year: rain and snow soak into the masonry, freeze overnight, and expand. Over enough winters, that's what cracks crowns, opens mortar joints, and spalls brick. Regular inspection and waterproofing are the antidote.

How we help Pittsburgh homeowners

In Pittsburgh, no two chimney jobs are quite alike — which is why we don't work from a script. We inspect thoroughly, explain what we find in plain language, prioritize what genuinely needs doing, and then do it with the proper materials and technique for our climate.
