What fireplace cleaning covers
We remove ash and debris from the firebox, clean the interior walls and grate, and address soot on the glass and visible surround. On gas units we carefully clean the glass, logs and burner area so the flames look right and the components stay in good order.
While we're in there, we check the firebox for cracked brick or deteriorating mortar and confirm the damper operates properly — small issues that are easy to catch during a cleaning and expensive to ignore.
